Customer Service Representative

(US Based Insurance Brokerage Company / Serbia Off-Site Processing Center)
Location: Belgrade

About our Company:

We are a New York City based insurance brokerage with clients throughout the USA. Our specialty is commercial insurance (property and casualty), and we have a capacity for selling and servicing all lines and types of insurance coverage.

We are expanding to an off-site processing & customer service center in Serbia, with the goal of building a team of high quality professionals on long term employment handling an expanding array of processing and service tasks for our business.

About the position:

The Customer Service Representative job responsibilities focus on the providing insurance brokerage customer service and related processing and support functions.

Primary Job Functions include: Customer Service, Administrative and Clerical Duties including those unique to the insurance business.

Individual Tasks may include some or all of the below items:

  • Corresponding with clients via phone and email for policy servicing requests and policy change/endorsement transactions
  • Corresponding with clients regarding billing transactions including accepting payments over the phone and internet, calling and reminding clients of payments due and processing finance agreements
  • Generating and confirming proofs/certificates of insurance
  • Confirming and attaching policy documents
  • Generating proposal documents
  • Generating coverage quotes
  • Processing new and renewal business policy transactions
  • Maintaining and managing client expiration/cancellation/warning lists to ensure continued insurance coverage for clients
  • Managing service email inboxes to route, respond to, and process service requests

The position allows for growth and promotion potential; we will be looking to advance qualified staff to management positions as our Serbia operations expand.

What we are looking for:

If you are a person who pays attention to details, with excellent problem solving and organizational skills, then you are the person we are looking for.

Our new colleague must have excellent customer service skills and be capable of working in a fast paced environment.

As we are oriented to the USA market, the candidate should have excellent communication skills on English, both verbal and written, and to be proficient working with computers.

Our market is large and with lots of different client profiles, thus from our candidate is expected to be a quick learner and to be able to work independently in support of our headquarter operations.

Self-driven in daily work with capacity to multitask, prioritizing and bringing tasks to completion are qualities that we look in our potential candidates.

Industry experience would be helpful but not required as we provide all needed trainings.
